Coatings, Adhesives & Sealants

We are a manufacturer and distributor of raw materials used in various paint and coating applications, such as hyper-dispersants, surfactants, flame retardants, carbon nanomaterials, titanates, composite additives, thermal and carbonless coatings, vinyl ethers and waxes.

The main task of a coating is to provide surface protection (against corrosion, stone chipping, scratches, abrasion or chemical attack…) and/or decorative finishes (such as colour, gloss, opacity….)

Paper

We are active in two market segments: Colour Change Technologies for thermal and carbonless papers as well as water-based barrier coatings for packaging grades.

Connect Chemicals is a world market leader in the production and sales of colour former products. We also continue expanding our range of sensitizers and developers for thermal paper. Our products are designed to meet challenging quality, performance and commercial requirements.

In 2014 Connect Chemicals successfully started our new production plant in Penglai China, providing the largest capacity in the marked for colour former products with more than 4’500t for the key products.

Connect Chemicals serves the European Paper and Board Packaging market in cooperation with Spectra-Kote, our US based partner, developer and producer of water-based barrier coatings.

We offer a wide array of different coatings to help meet your needs. Some of our most popular coatings are Grease Resistance, Water Resistance, Non-Skid, Frozen Meat Box, Fire-Retardant, Non-Abrasive Coatings.

Plastics

Connect Chemicals is a partner to producers, processors, compounders and master batch manufacturers in all important plastic industry segments.

We serve users with both well-known materials such as flame retardants and lubricant waxes as well as range of highly innovative additives, such as Fullerenes. Matching the needs of our clients and partners, we offer an ever-growing portfolio for this important market segment.

Water Treatment

Starting from our key copper corrosion inhibitors Benzotriazole and Tolyltriazole we have managed to build up an extensive package for our customers consisting in addition of Phosphonates and its salts, Polycarboxylic antiscalents and dispersants, other Polymers as well as Oxygen Scavengers.
